Today: Children's Museum for "Toddler Music." Disaster.
Walked in. Woman was playing a guitar. Ilsa SCREAMED. We turned around and went back to the museum proper. Played for a good hour. TONS of children, so many that even Juliette noticed: "Mama, lots of babies at the zoo-ee-um."
Then a lovely, calming, nearly-raining picnic by the lake with Keven, the seagulls and the ducks.Home. Naps.
Babies woke up... with sniffles. Oh dear. They didn't even protest when I put them to bed tonight, which is always a sign of illness. Looks like we might have to put off our trip home to my parents' farm.
I skipped the Joint Ventures' dinner to stay home, have a beer, eat cheesecake, and watch music lectures. Keven went out with friends instead, so I'll have him owe me sometime next week when the kids are better and I need an evening out by myself!
Oh, and I created the website for Joint Ventures, just so you know. Nothing too flash (just a blog, really), but it was good enough to be made their official page (since they were "updating" the old one on a rather permanent basis).

Ilsa's quite the music critic, isn't she?
How are they today?
Yeah, Ilsa apparently can't stand amatuer folkies.
And they seem alright today. J's nose is runny, but they're in really good spirits. Ilsa doesn't seem ill at all. Fingers crossed that it's a light cold.
Are you going to your parents'?
Probably - we'll leave it to tomorrow to make sure they don't get worse over night. There's no rush on visiting - just would require some rearranging on our calendars.
They went and will be back Tuesdayish. So considering that Lindsey's parents have a dial-up connection my guess is either small or non-existent posts for the next couple of days.
Did you not go with them? How far is it? Did she drive up there?
Since we only have the one car, and because Keven has class first thing Monday morning, I drove down to my parents' farm with the girls. That way Keven can have time to study and get work done in peace, we can stay here and be farmer chics for a while, and we won't have to turn right around and drive back this evening to be ready for a Monday morning in Madison. The only thing Keven misses out on is my dad's NFL Sunday Ticket subscription on the giant screen TV.
Wow, he will be very jelous about it right now.
You have been very good driving (200 miles?) on your own with the girls.
