Keven and I went on a date! A for-real, dinner-and-a- movie, babysitter has the kids, bonafide date. It's been months, literally. A really nice time. The girls did great with Nicole, the president of our mom's club, and her husband Eric. They have two kids, Natalie (almost three) and Jack (four), and Nicole is due later this winter. So she really had a full plate, and we were very appreciative.
Tomorrow I return the communal babysitting favor for another member. A cool system. Now if only I could get the girls to wind down and go to sleep..... it's 9:20pm and it hasn't happened yet. But I wore high heels and ate a dinner that didn't involve high chairs, bibs, or ordering something from a children's menu, so I'm happy.

Congratulations for your first night out in the new country!
Madison may be different, but it's not an entirely new country ;)
.. but it is in Wisconsin and not in Ohio! Your country is soooo big that I always think each contry is different one from another as it is, say Italy from UK. Well, it is in term of miles, but certainly not in terms of culture and language... Actually sometimes UK is more similar to USA than to Italy.
:o )
Well, congs anyway for the first night out in the new city ...
I knew what you meant - just teasing :)
