What a remarkably apathetic week! On Monday, we got a late start to the day after suffering through another night of Ilsa's bad nightmares. The girls slept until 9:30! We had to do a bit of grocery shopping that day and, because of the girls' screwy lack of sleep, we decided to skip our cooking club. Tuesday, we stayed home until I went out to dinner with the Joint Venture Club. Yesterday, we made it to a nearby park for our regular playgroup, but Juliette was a disaster of impatience and irritability. She developed a nasty runny nose in the afternoon, so that means yet another (minor) illness. And today, we spent lunch and part of the afternoon with Katka, very casually. She had Lake - the boy she nannies - with her, and we all played in the sandbox after eating.
My girls look like little zombies right now, chilling out on the couch with an episode of Blue's Clues. This terrible, daily, unpredictable "to nap or not to nap" dilemma is really wearing us out. We have no routine! Some days, they are so tired that naps are ESSENTIAL, but then they stay up until 10pm! How does that affect the next day? Badly!
Sigh. Also, I think the end of this semester is really doing a number on Keven and I. We're tired. We need a break. I am looking forward to the two weeks off that we will have before he leaves for Virginia. Steve and Silvia had planned to come for a visit during that time, but purchasing their flat put a strain on their financial flexibility; they decided to stay in England. I am sad that we will not be able to see them until our Christmas visit, but I will be very happy to have that down time before Keven leaves. We need to recharge and settle before taking on the challenges of this coming summer.

Hope things cheer up for you soon!
Children should not be allowed to get sick in late April. Ugh.
I'd second that if we could present it to some ruling body for a vote...
The good news is that Steve and I have started saving money now that we are settled down in the new flat and that we have ordered the last bits and bobs (including a new fridge and a bench for the balcony).
Have a well deserved break!
I suppose that tireness is also a consequence of the Spring.
Love
