Trikes!

This afternoon, in a moment of weakness while out grocery shopping, we stopped into Toys'R'Us to buy tricycles for the girls. I had planned on buying trikes for them yet this summer, after Keven returned from Virginia, so it was not all that impulsive of a purchase - just a few weeks early. Juliette will be four in October, and she has been obsessing about our new neighbors' Big Wheels and bikes w/ training wheels. We will not be buying presents for either girl for their birthdays; they just have poorly-timed, late autumn/early winter birthdays for getting bikes in Wisconsin. The baskets were extra accessories.Juliette caught on fairly quickly with peddling, seeing as how she is both older and larger. Her trike, the red one on the left, converts to a big wheel-style chopper trike when her legs are longer. Ilsa has more skill with peddling than Juliette would have had at that age, but her interest comes and goes. Seeing as how she will be a little shrimp for some time, I got the smaller style trike. It was easier for her to pedal that particular one in the store. And, strangely enough, both models came in either pink hues or red/blue hues; the girls chose the red/blue versions, which means that if hypothetical third baby is a boy, he won't have to learn to pedal on some monstrous pink thing.

Lovely trycicles!

How is Juliette now?

Only two weeks and Keven is back for good!! Have you decided about the dates of your visit at Xmas?

No plans about Christmas yet. Have to get the money issues settled after Keven gets back - figure out how much we spent, how much he's going to make this fall, how much we have left! Juliette's entirely recovered, thankfully, but we're all waiting for Keven to get back. It's been a long summer.

You can ask all your relatives and friends to contribute towards the flight tickets! I appreciate that it is expensive travelling in four!

Well keep us posted, and if you can't come, we will come to you!
