Website for Secret Serenade

My newly-fashioned website for Secret Serenade is now active and linked through the sidebar. Credits: painting by Caravaggio, quote by Nietzsche, web design by me.

Yeah, I understand that all you visiting writer folks have about 18 books each under your belts, but I have ONE - and merely a rough draft at that. But considering that I finished the draft this summer... home alone with a 3-yo and 2-yo... while my husband was interning in Virginia... I am damn proud of that accomplishment!

And I've already started book number two - more details later - so I am on my way.

That said, I will post additional excerpts in early October when I am through the second revision. If you are interested in becoming one of my online reviewers, please please please do. The website has a link to my e-mail address, and I will send interested readers my draft next month.

In November, I will submit Secret Serenade to the RWA Golden Heart competition, a nationwide search for the best unpublished romances in various categories. The novel will not be perfect and, in fact, without a significant length of time to receive and process critiques, it is sure to be craptastic. But I want to submit it anyway, if only to say that I began the process.

Not 18.

*does math on fingers and toes*

I eleven completed in my life. Of those, six never went anywhere but in the rubbish bin. Five I still hold out hope for. And I'd be happy to crit your book, if you want.
