Christmas Eve

The girls are really charged up about Christmas this year. Watching films 24-7. Goodies. Santa countdown. Really, this is the first year they've been actively aware of the pending goodness. Cute, really. And they're having a good time stealing cookies when "grandma isn't looking." As if grandmas are notorious cookie sentinels.

Last night we had a pre-Christmas dinner with Casey, Jess, Lily, baby Jackson, and Aunt Barb. Tonight is mostly hanging out and watching films. I'm waiting on Scrooged, which comes on in a few hours. Rock on, Bill Murray.

So for those of you who do the grand ole' Christmas thang, have a great time. I wish your holiday is full of love and family and friends. For everybody else, I hope the season has been good to you and that your new year is a safe and happy one. We'll check in here in a day or two with a present report.

I hope when you decide
Kindness will be your guide.
Put a little love in your heart.
And the world will be a better place
For you and me--you just wait and see.
Put a Little Love in Your Heart"
