Christmas in Britain

We'll be in Britain for Christmas this year. I just realized that on top of awesome English holiday traditions--such as spending Christmas Eve at a pub, lighting cake on fire, taking in a panto, seeing the girls open their pillowcases, watching "Big Fat Quiz of the Year" and the Queen's Speech (not), and getting out of the way of a pram race on Boxing Day--we'll get to catch the "Doctor Who" Christmas special as it airs!

How cool is that?

David Tennant will be joined by David Morrissey, his co-star from "Blackpool". All he's missing now is Sarah Parish...but she was all ugly in the 2006 Christmas special. BBC is terribly incestuous with regard to its casting. Does anyone care? Oh, wait--it's my blog! Be glad I'm not talking bailouts and debates.

We'll also be reuniting with friends we haven't seen in ages, meeting at least one new baby, and spending tons of time with family. Linda, if you're getting tickets for a panto, I want to go too! I've only ever seen them on tele. Now that we've achieved little ones of an appropriate age, I have a legit excuse to see one!
